Methane production from straw by fermentation is growing worldwide and is considered a viable solution in current scenario.However, its conversion to methane has been limited by its hydrolysis due to the main components of straw (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) are tightly held together and form lignin-carbohydrate complexes (LCC) which create a barrier for microbial conversion.
