  Fruit cracking is one of the physiological disorders which cause a major fruit loss and affects pomegranate marketing to a great extent.This phenomenon generates a big quantity of wastes including seeds.Since pomegranate seeds contain valuable oil that has nutritional and medicinal properties, they can be useful for food applications as a functional agent.
