Biomass to synthetic natural gas(Bio-SNG)technique has been regarded as a promising approach to convert biomass into fuel in a low-cost and sustainable way.Currently,the biomass gasification process applied in different reactors,such as moving bed,entrained flow bed and fluidized bed,is suitable to produce SNG,in which fluidized-bed configuration shows the greatest potential in enhancing the system conversion efficiency and the syngas quality in comparison to the other reactor configurations.The dual fluidized-bed system offers two separate fluidized-bed reactors for biomass gasification and char combustion,and the heat needed for the biomass gasification in the gasifier carrying by bed material is provided by the char combustion in the combustor,thus realizing the system in a self-heat way(Fig.1).
