Fast line integration boundary element method for elasticity problems with body force

  In this paper,a line integration boundary element method(LIMBEM)is proposed for treatment of body force in elasticity problems.The method is based on Divergence theorem and the domain integralsfor body forcecan be translated into line integrals on straight linesfinally.The integral lines can becreated from the boundary elements and the proposedmethod is a boundary-only discretization method.Applying the method directly is time-consuming since the complexity of the CPU time is O(NM),where Nand Mare the numbers of nodes and lines,respectively.To overcome this problem,fast multipole method is further applied in line integration method for large scale computation.Numerical examples have shown the accuracy and efficiency of the fastline integration boundaryelement method.
