When(former)waste materials are used as alternative raw material to produce products that can be used beneficially,it is important to ensure that use of the materials is environmentally safe.Assurance of environmental safety requires proper insight in long term release behaviour under the exposure conditions envisaged during use of these materials as well as considering post-use recycling at the end of their functional life.Often multiple disposal or reuse options are available,and exposure conditions will change over time.
