  A full-length cDNA denominated MmPOD12 for Peroxidase in Mulberry(Morus alba),an enzyme involved in therespiration,photosynthesis,and the oxidation of auxin,etc.,was cloned from Yu71-1 a variety of Mulberry using a Rapid amplification of terminal(RACE)approach.MmPOD12 contains an 789 bp length reading frame(ORF),encoding 350 amino acid residues with a predicted molecular weight of 37.004 kD and a isoelectric point of 7.044.
