An impact-abrasion resistance surfacing electrode named TKCE50 was developed in this paper. This electrode is a Fe-Mn-Cr-Mo-V alloy system and belongs to iron-base wear-resistant materials. The impact-abrasion tests were accomplished with moving load grain-abrasion testing machine MLD-10 to evaluate the wear-resistance of the TKCE50.The main results are as follows:(1) The microstructure of the deposited metal is characterized by austenite.(2) The work-hardening effect was much better than traditional surfacing electrode D256,and also the performance of impact wear-resistant.The hardness of deposited metal as welded of TKCE50 was between 30~32 HRC.After work-hardening impact experiment, the hardness reached 45~55 HRC.(3) Easily to be work-hardened is the greatest feature of this electrode, and the thickness of hardened laver could reach 5~20 mm when subjected to impacts with large loads.
