The North American Great Lakes have presented significant management challenges over the last fifty years and a few management successes.The presentation will provide an overview of Great Lakes management successes and challenges in my personal perspective from working in various senior management positions in the Department of Natural Resources for the State of Michigan(USA)for twenty-eight years,as Manager of the Great Lakes Fishery Trust,a private foundation,for ten years,and as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Alliance for the Great Lakes,a non-profit,environmental advocacy organization.
