We presented our first case oftotally laparoscopic D2 radical distal gastrectomy using Billroth Ⅱ anastomosis toevaluate its effectiveness in terms of minimal invasiveness,technical feasibility,and safety for resection of early gastric cancer.In our case,only laparoscopiclinear staplers were used for intracorporeal anastomosis.The time was 180 minutes,theanastomotic time was 15 minutes,thenumber ofstaples used was five,and the estimated blood losswas 30 ml.The first flatus was observed at 3 days,andliquid diet was started at 6 days.The postoperativehospital stay was 8 days.No postoperative complications were found in ourcase.Totally laparoscopic Billroth Ⅱ anastomosis usinglaparoscopic linear staplers for early gastric cancer was safe and feasible.
