It is important to create the knowledge of the spermary development of skipjack, which proving a fundamental information for further study on reproduction mechanism, which also is the basic data for the skipjacks biological study and stock assessment.A total of 110 spermary of skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis) have been studied using the histological method; the samples were collected from the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) of Papua New Guinea and Federal States of Micronesia in the Western and Central Pacific (WCPO) during October 2007 to January 2008 on board the purse seine vessels.Relationship between fork length and body weight of male skipjack is W=9× 10-6L3.13.Spermary development of skipjack is similar to other bony fish.
