Coherent oscillation between two photonic states has been observed[l], which resembles the traditional Rabi oscillation between two atomic states in a two-level system [2].The conversion of quantum state from light to atom and vice versa has also been suggested [3].We experimentally demonstrate the coherent conversion between photonie state and atomic state with the simple setup in Fig.1.
