成长是儿童文学作品中永恒的主题,而离家—回家则是体现作品中主人公成长的重要方式。因为在主人公离家或历险的过程中,通常都经历了从不成熟到成熟的转变。2009年美国纽伯瑞奖章获奖作品《坟场之书》同样体现了这个主题,只不过主人公伯蒂的经历多数发生在死亡世界。本文将对其历险过程分为三个阶段,即初始阶段,过渡阶段和成熟阶段。试图通过对三个阶段历险特征的分析来探求主人公的最终成长。
Growth is the eternal theme of children’s literature, while leaving home - home is an important way to reflect the protagonist’s growth in the works.
