The phase diagram of the system LiCl+NaCl+KCl+H2O is of great importance to the process of extracting LiCl from nature brine. In this work, the complete phase diagram of the system LiCl+NaCl+KCl+H2O at 298.15 (shown in Fig.1a) and 323.15 K (shown in Fig.1b) were predicted by Pitzer?Clegg? Simmoson (PSC) model2.The standard water activity and solubility data of binary systems LiCl+H2O,NaCl+H2O,KCl+H2O and solubility data of ternary systems NaCl+KCl+H2O,LiCl+KCl+H2O,LiCl+NaCl+H2O were fitted to obtain PSC model parameters. Then the solubility and water activity of three ternary systems NaCl+KCl+H2O,LiCl+KCl+H2O,LiCl+NaCl+H2O and quaternary system LiCl+NaCl+KCl+H2O were predicted over a wide range of temperature with the binary and ternary model parameters.Furthermore, the experimental data of solubility and water activity of the system and sub-ternary system of LiCl+NaCl+KCl+H2 O was evaluated by checking the consistency of predicted data with the experimental data. The predicted phase diagram proved to be trustworthy and reliable for the industrial process design of extracting LiCl from nature brine.
