Highly branched polymers (HBPs) have unique properties,such as high degree of func-tionality,low viscosity,high solubility and etc.1 To develop facile method for the syn-thesis of HBPs with controlled degree of branching (DB),tunable chemical functionalities,and narrow molecular weights is an important task for polymer chemists.Sixteen years ago,ABB type Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) were reported for the synthesis of HBPs.
