From a clinician's perspective,precision medicine in vast majority of diabetes patients is still a dream.My presentation will first examined the current methods of diagnose diabetes and discuss the challenge of diagnosing diabetes in the medical practice.In addition,I will discuss the limitation of genetics in guiding the precision medical management of type 2 diabetes in the daily practice and give my perspectives on the future of individualized medical management of diabetes.
