A variety of measures are already available to assess suicidality.However, they are generally too complex and too time-consuming for use in routine clinical practice.Furthermore, in most cases, the validity of these assessments relies heavily on patients language skills.PRISM-the Pictorial Representation of Illness and Self Measure is a visualization technique that was initially developed to evaluate the subjectively perceived burden of suffering due to physical illness.
