Background Context:Many surgical approaches have been proposed for the treatment of isthmic spondylolisthesis,but its optimal management remains controversial.Evidences show that reduction can correct the sagittal plane deformity and may have long~ term implications on adjacent segment disease.Many methods to reduce the spondylolisthesis have been reported.Jaslow first described the insert-and~ rotate posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) technique in 1946,We modified the technique by using intervertebral disc space distractor to complete reduction and inserting a single cage to accomplish interbody fusion.
