We investigated how CNE2 cells react to DNA damage induced by ionizing radiation (IR) and whether genomic insult evokes DNA repair pathways and/or cell death and/or senescence pathways.Following exposure to5Gy, CNE2 cell undergo terminal growth arrest and adopt morphologic and marker features suggestive of cellular senescence.Senescence cell was elicited by radiotherapeutic in the CNE2 cell line,as well as concomitant cell cycle arrest in G2 based on P1 staining and FACS analysis 3 weeks after radiation.
