  In recent years, there is an increased interest among researchers to study the behaviour of the structural components made of functionally graded (FG) materials, especially in high temperature applications.The advantage of FG materials is that they are able to withstand high-temperature gradient environments while maintaining their structural integrity.During the fabrication process or later in the service of FG shell structures, it is possible that unavoidable geometric imperfections (namely, small deviation from the assumed initial shape of the shell) may be present, which may significantly change the nonlinear vibration behavior.Therefore, the study of the effect of the initial geometric imperfection on the nonlinear dynamic behavior of FG shell panels in thermal environments is necessary.
