Unrestricted cellular responses controlled by the Wnt family of secreted signaling molecules are causal to a broad range of malignancies, including coiorectal cancer (CRC).We have deployed a functional genomics screening approach in CRC cells in order to identify underlying mechanisms that contribute to aberrant Wnt-mediated signal transduction.From this effort, we have assigned to candidate cancer (CAN) genes revealed from cancer genome sequencing roles within the Wnt/-catenin pathway.
