In recent years,peptides have been developed as a good alternative to non-virial gene vectors to overcome the barriers to gene delivery due to their varied biological functions,including cell penetration,[1,2] endosomal escape[3] and nucleus targeting.[4] In the present study,we designed and tested a series of peptides with various functional fragments such as stearyl moiety,cationic amphiphilic α-helical antimicrobial peptide(AMP),cell penetrating peptide(CPP)TAT and cysteine as gene vectors.
