　　Wheat powdery mildew caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritic (Bgt) is a major wheat leaf disease in main wheat planting areas around the world.Although many wheat cultivars resistant to powdery mildew have been developed, little is known about their resistance mechanism.Pm40 is a currently effective powdery mildew resistance gene and wheat line L699 carries the resistance gene pm40.
