Epidemic Dynamic of Wheat Powdery Mildew in Ya'an, China (2007~2012)

  Wheat powdery mildew caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici, is an important and destructive wheat disease, causing great reduction of grain yield.Systematic observations were recorded on wheat powdery mildew in the same fields from 2007 to 2012, at experimental farm of Sichuan Agricultural University, Yaan.The relationship between meteorological conditions and disease index was analyzed in this study.The temporal dynamic of wheat powdery mildew during 2007 and 2012 showed that the time curve of general rate, disease index and the severity of wheat powdery mildew fitted an "S" curve.It was seen that the initial stage of wheat powdery mildew was mainly in late-December and earlyNovember, and the stage of logistic in 2010 ~2011 was the longest of all.The disease in 2010 and 2011 had the highest disease index in the whole 5 years, which was up to 69.99 and above.Logistic curve was the best fitting to the disease development during the 5 years.The meteorological factors in March and April had close correlations with disease development.
