Radial behavior and the Fermi contact term for lithium-like ions are presented.Using the full core plus correlation(FCPC)wave functions,we obtain the radial expectation values and the electron density at the nucleus for the ground state and higher excited states of lithium-like ions starting from Na and ending with Ca.Through the inequalities derived by Angulo and Dehesa,we exam the validity of the radial expectation values for lithium-like ions with the higher nuclear charge.The final results show that the FCPC wave functions for lithium-like ions with the higher nuclear charge are also accurate in the full configuration space and can give satisfactory radial expectation values and the Fermi contact term.
