Objectives: It is well known that the insulin resistance and endothelium dysfunction which aggravates each other exist in Spontaneously hypertensive rats,While physical activity has been shown to be beneficial to the type 2 diabetes and to improve cardiovascular function, also increasing evidence suggests that PPARγ is involved in the regulation of vascular function and blood pressure. However, the effects of aerobic exercise on arterial vasorelaxation to insulin in hypertension are largely unknown. Therefore, the aims of this study were to determine whether swimming training can alleviate facilitate vasorelaxation to insulin in hypertension and,if so,to investigate the underlying mechanism, with the special focus on the role of exercise in arterial PPARγand its downstream molecules.
