Audiences in contemporary society are no longer passive receivers,and the sense of autonomy of the audiences is getting much stronger.At the same time,they have a strong sense of participation.Therefore,a popular program must provide valuable information to survive long.In the era of the pan entertainment,the rising of such edutainment TV programs like Readers and National Treasure,on the one hand,the own culture,attribution and quality were reflected in the programs,on the other hand,they also reflect the audiences aesthetic,not just only to watch the "hedonic" of the variety of entertainment,but more and more attention to their own heart,and try to grow and improve themselves from the programs for " eudaimonic" entertainment experience.Edutainment programs like Readers and National Treasure are great models.In the questionnaire survey of 224 respondents,they believed that the core values conveyed by these edutainment programs were "the development of Chinese traditional culture" and"inheritance".In a program full of knowledge points,the audience can feel the positive and upward power,which is also the spirit of our Chinese civilization.It can be found that as for the edutainment TV programs,both hedonic and eudaimonic entertainment experiences are existing.But audiences are more likely to get information and to have self-improvement.
