Rice is one of the most staple diets for human especially in China.About 185 million metric tons of rice were produced annually in 2007.This huge amount of production results in commensurate amount of rice by-products.One of the major by-products is white rice bran (a brown layer present between rice and the outer husk of the paddy which is accounted for 2%~3% of milled rice.Hence, China will produce about 4.625 million metric tons white rice bran in 2007.
