Mistletoe extracts are widely used in complementary cancer therapy and the major active constituent of the natural products has now been attributed to mistletoe lectin-Ⅰ (ML-Ⅰ).ML-Ⅰ is classified as ribosome inactivating proteins (RIPs) due to its RNA N-glycosidase activity.
