Shortly after the discovery of fullerenes by Kroto et al.in 1985, the macroscopic isolation of C60 and C70 fullerenes from flame-generated soot was described by Howard group in 1991 and the non-IPR (Isolated-Pentagon-Rule) fullerene C64 has been isolated firom soot generated with the normal Kr(a)tschmer-Huffman method by Wang et al.in 2006.Here we have been able to obtain the C64H4-containing soot in a modified low-pressure benzene-oxygen flames. In order to characterize the flame-generated compounds, the soot samples were collected from flames under different conditions.
