In this presentation we introduce the concept of an operational path for VLBI observation of satellites,from scheduling to actual observations.This concept has been exemplarily realized with the Wettzell radio telescope.It is based on an extended version of the scheduling module of the Vienna VLBI software (VieVS) in connection with the most recent version of the NASA Field System 9.11.4 (FS).
