One of the most distinguished characteristics of the Asian monsoon is its seasonal precipitation.More than half of the annual precipitation is concentrated in the rain season, from May to October in general.Asia monsoon regions have wet summer and dry winter and spring.In Asia, this climate system starts from late Miocene and is associated with the Himalayas uplift.
