In this paper,binary optical elements(BOEs)are introduced for improving the radiation performance of monopulse antenna at sub-millimetre wavelengths.The configuration of BOEs is designed by combining Genetic Algorithm(GA)for optimization and two-dimension finite difference time domain(2D-FDTD)method for rigorous electromagnetic computation.Final numerical results demonstrate that monopulse antenna based on BOEs has good radiation performance.
