Study on Effects on Two Different Flow Deflector Structures of Duct Flow Field

  In this paper, the flow field in the air-assisted duct of boom sprayer is studied by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology to analyze three-dimensional simulation region consisting of internal and external working air flow field.The analysis results show that the shortcomings of original duct with a strong swirling flow, the shortcomings of narrow flow channel resulting in high energy consumption and high velocity variation coefficient in the working flow field of exterior duct.This paper proposed two different structures of flow deflector installed in the internal air duct, and the flow field analyses with two different structures upon internal and external flow field of the air duct are analyzed, the simulation results show that the hole-type deflector can significantly improve efficiency, but with higher the coefficient of variation in the 0.5 m below outlet working field; Slot-type deflector may slightly improve efficiency, but can greatly reduce the coefficient of variation in the 0.5 m below outlet working field.
