TRANSIENT IMPACTING STRENGTH ANALYSISOF MOTORCYCLE MODEL

  Due to the shortage existing in conventional structural strength analysis that the analysis method is individual and differential for motorcycle,so a method concerning transient impacting strength analysis is proposed,which is based on finite element theory.Then bearing capacity theory is studied,and three typical operating modes under transient impacting were confirmed.By Applying MSC.PATRAN/NASTRAN software and using composite structure of rod,plate and shell which have high calculation accuracy,element subdivision of frame is done etc.The suspension is simulated by the spring element,and the engine is simulated by the concentrate mass element,then the whole simulation model is developed,the strength of the motorcycle frame were analyzed,it is done based on the above-mentioned operating modes.The results of the simulation meet well with the practical performance,as the conclusion,the method has more important practice significance.
