Ultra-intense laser can produce unprecedented conditions for various frontier investigations and applications.Progress on high energy ultra-short pulse laser technology/facilities in Research Center of Laser Fusion of CAEP is presented.The subpetawatt SILEX-I laser facility based on chirped pulse amplification using multi-stage Ti:sapphire amplifiers,the petawatt-class multifunctional XG-III laser facility with synchronized FPN(femtosecond,picosecond and nanosecond)laser beams,the multi-petawatt OPCPA(optical parametric chirped pulse amplification)system and the techniques involved are introduced.The plan and prospects of further development for ultra-relativistic intensity level laser(1023~1025W/cm2)are introduced,and the corresponding important technology is analyzed.
