The fiber spinnability is affected by the fiber length distribution, length, short fibre content, strength, moisture regain, friction performance, the impurity rate, stiffness and so on. Cotton fibre is one kind of fibre, which is thinner, more flexible. In combing process it is easy to damage, causing the fibre length is shorter, length evenness variation, thus affecting its follow-up spinnability. Although cotton fiber has good moisture absorption performance, the moisture regain rate is low for the Xinjiang area climate is dry, so that the electrostatic phenomenon happens frequently. In this paper, through the test of fibre length distribution, length, short fiber content, strength, moisture regain and other changes of cotton fibre after moisture agent added to the carding sliver, analysis effect of finishing agent on spinning performance of cotton fiber. An improvement of cotton fiber spinning performance of the new approach is explored.
