云南省由于气候温和，能常年使用春用品种。但随着我省蚕桑产业的不断发展，春用品种在某些立体气候明显地区表现出不适应，为了更好地适应云南省特有的立体气候，提高一年四季的养蚕量及蚕茧质量，需要选育出适宜夏秋季饲养，并满足蚕农、种场和丝厂三方的家蚕新品种。我们利用保存和引进的家蚕种质资源，采用杂交育种等方法，同时注重品种的茧丝品质、繁育性能等多项经济性状选择，并设置高温多湿环境，改变饲养技术加强品种强健性

为降低蚕种生产成本、提高蚕种质量和产量、拓宽茧丝产品的应用范围，需要选育出适宜云南蚕桑产业发展、蚕农、种场和丝厂三方均满意的家蚕新品种，我们利用保存和引进的家蚕限性种质资源，采用杂交育种的方法，同时注重品种的茧丝品质、强健性、繁育性能等多项经济性状的综合选择，历经多年选育出多丝量皮斑双限性家蚕品种“云蚕10 号”。经过多批次饲育成绩显示，该品种产茧量、茧层量高，是一个优良的春用家蚕品种。
[目的]选育斑纹限性品种，是为降低蚕种生产成本、提高蚕种质量和产量、拓宽茧丝产品的应用范围。[方法]通过系统筛选和配合力测试，确定采用795、H05、日新A 和云蚕7A 为亲本，根据家蚕杂交育种原理，组配成斑纹双限品种云限1 号。
