Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is associated with many factors, such as aging,family history, smoking, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and so on.Due to the rapid increase in the age of the worldwide population, it is predictable that a large number of people will suffer from AMD, with a prevalence of early AMD estimated to be 6.8% and 2.4% in white and black people respectively.
