Supramolecular hydrogels with good biocompatibility and suitable mechanical strength as well as specific responsiveness are constantly desirable and greatly challenging for tissue engineering.Despite of their dynamically reversible and self-healing properties,traditional supramolecular hydrogels cannot simultaneously satisfy the basic requirements of tissue engineering application, including rapid in-situ formation under physiological conditions, appropriate mechanical strength, designable stimuli-responsiveness,biocompatibility and easy degradability.
