Cells have to make various decisions in response to external and/or internal cues,andoften make fate choices.Examples range from stress response,development to stemcell differentiation and reprogramming.I will discuss several cases in whichexperiments and mathematical modeling work together to elucidate strategies andprinciples in the system.
