  Objective: The present study examined effects of alpha-mangostin(α-MG)supplementation on cerebral blood flow(CBF),and blood-brain barrier(BBB)permeability in type 2 diabetic(DM2)rat model.Materials and Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 2 experimental sets.Each set of animal was devided into four sub groups: normal control and diabetes with or without α-MG supplementation.Daily gavage feeding of alpha-MG(α-MG ; 200 mg/kg BW)was performed for 8 and 40 weeks.
