  Bridge bearing is one of the most important part in the bridge,the large tonnage bridge bearing have been developed in order to accommodate the special structures and functions of the bridge.To design and develop the multifarious spherical bearing which adapts the requests,aim at the bridges special structures and performance,the most tonnage spherical bearing (145 000Mn) is designed in the paper.Based on reviewing upon the development of the bearings of the domestic and intemationai super tonnage bearings,and the innovational structural design for the super tonnage spherical beating for Chaotianmen bridge in Chongqing are provided.The horizontal slipping face is changed from upper one to down one,and the oriented structure is used firstly.The spherical bearing adapts the requests of the bridge load,displacement and life etc.by the analysis,thus the basis for the technological standard of the super tonnage spherical bearings are formulated.
