The anatase TiO2 nanoparticle (NP) film is an excellent starting photoelectrode for DSSCs due to its easy fabrication, minimal cost and more dye adsorption amount.The primary weakness of the small electron diffusion coefficient limits the random walk of electrons through NP film to the millisecond timescale, which blocks the further improvement of η.Meanwhile, Pt is most widely used as counter electrode.However, Pt is very expensive and easily corroded by electrolyte, which limits the scale-up application of DSSC devices.
