  The effects of helium atoms on the nucleation and growth of dislocation loops and cavities in Fe-11Cr model alloy under electron irradiation have been investigated by high-voltage transmission electron microscopy.A new kind of reduced activation ferritic/martensitic steels named as Steel of Institute of Modern Physics(SIMP),has been invented by a cooperation of Institute of Modern Physics and Institute of Metal Research,Chinese Academy of Sciences.Helium ion implantation with an energy of 100 keV to a dose of 4 ×1015/cm2 at 400℃ was carried out in a 300 kV ion accelerator.
