Bone sialoprotein(BSP)is an abundant non-collagenous highly glycosylated phosphoprotein in bone which enhances osteoblast differentiation and new bone deposition in vitro and in vivo. But its mechanism especially heavily modified posttranslationally by glycosylation, and structural details have not been determined and functions of different glycosylation linkages in bone homeostasis are not clear.
