Despite their broad applications in organic synthesis, materials and pharmaceutical research, catalytic syntheses of organosilieon compounds are currently underexplored.We present here our recent progress in this direction, including selective Si-O bond formation catalyzed by heterogeneous gold, enantioselective silylation of aldimine catalyzed by Cu and Zn, Pd catalyzed cross coupling reaction between arylhalide and Si-B species, as well as Rh and Cu catalyzed selective cleavage of C-Si bonds.We will also briefly discuss our preliminary mechanistic findings and related applications.
