Andersen, the Danish fairy tale master, believes that social progress is most fully manifested in the rapid development of cities, and cities can provide individuals with more room for development. Among his fairy tales, there are many artistic images that take city as the main background of their life. Children born in the city are a unique set of artistic images in Andersen’s works. They bring vitality and poetic flavor to the city At the same time, it also presents the style of the city as well as the differences in life and inequality in the world. Urban development brings together all kinds of social forces, but also accelerates the death of natural life. How to understand the different life trends of man and nature is yet another complicated issue left by the Andersen urban fairy tales.
