Novel temperature responsive triblock-graft copolymers PEG-b-[PCL-g-P(MEO2MA-co-OEGMA)] -b-PEG were synthesized by combination of ring-opening polymerization (ROP) and atomic transfer radical polymerization (ATRP).The synthesized triblock-graft copolymers were characterized by 1H-NMR,FT-IR,and GPC.In comparison to the triblock copolymers PEG-b-PCL-b-PCL,the triblock-graft compolymers not only exhibited hydrophily, but also have temperature sensitivity. The LCST of the triblock-graft compolymers is about 40 ℃.The micellization behavior of the triblock-graft copolymers were investigated by fluorescence probe technique, laser particle size measurements and transmission electron microscopy (TEM),which showed that the triblock-graft copolymers could change from random coil to compact globule, yielding a more compact core-shell structure as the temperature of the triblock-graft copolymers aqueous solutions was promoted above their LCST.
