The lattice dome,instead of the ribbed structure,has been popularized used in large crude oil tanks.The deformation and stress distribution of lattice dome under local differential settlement is studied by the FEM.After building the finite element model,the differential settlement is imposed at the bottom of the tank-wall,and the behavior of the lattice dome is investigated using geometrically linear analysis and nonlinear buckling analysis.
