Uniform Ba-Ti-O amorphous layer was coated on Ni nanoparticles by a conventional sol-precipitation method.Hydrothermal treatment under alkaline conditions was utilized to convert this layer to a highly crystalline BaTiO3 coating layer.It was found that under the same conditions,crystallinity and purity of the coating layer was obviously improved along with the addition of the Ni nanoparticles with amorphous Ba-Ti-O layer.This crystalline BaTiO3 layer can greatly improve the anti-oxidation properties and increase the shrinkage onset temperature of Ni nanoparticles,making it more suitable for Base-Metal Electrode Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors(BME MLCC).
